Solar System Exploration 2 Wiki

This list is sorted by alphabetical order.

Current[]

Bled Entity kill bug[]

Sometimes the Bled Entity won't kill you, but would still follow the player.

Bluetooth Fuel[]

If you have 2 Fuel Sources, you can attach the first one to the Ship, the second one to the first fuel source, then saw the first fuel source, then attach the first fuel source to the second fuel source. This glitch can be used to make ships with high amounts of fuel while being lightweight.

Bluetooth Storage[]

Just like Bluetooth Fuel, this glitch is the done by the same way but with crates.

Broken Depot Input Bug[]

When you try to use a single Depot input, the resources won't be transferred. However, when at least two inputs are used, the bug will be fixed.

Broken Hammer & Saw[]

In some cases, neither the hammer nor the saw will work, so you will need to reset to fix this error.

Broken Jetpack[]

When equipping the Jetpack quickly after obtaining it from a Factory, it will break and become non-functional, this also includes the GUI. To prevent this from happening, wait a couple of seconds before equipping the jetpack.

Broken Pickaxe[]

Sometimes, the pickaxe will break and you wont be able to use it.

Building Discombobulation[]

This glitch occurs if you join a server that has high ping, probably caused by structures and when a user places down a building. As the user places it, the building may tend to break with parts suspended in the air. Almost all buildings can become discombobulated. The functional buttons are less likely to get discombobulated. Currently, the buildings seen to break have been Factories, Drills, Depots, Mills, Station mills and Domes.

Callisto Air Bug (?)[]

If you go to Callisto and jump out of your ship, you'll notice that your air bar freezes. This may be an Easter Egg and the air on Callisto is supplied by the Galileans. Because of this there is no need for domes if you're not planning to add a Spawn. If you are, you only need a dome for placing Spawns.

"Charge Up" Ship Bug[]

Sometimes the ship would slam back down to zero when not pressing R. This bug can be fixed by sawing and reattaching everything on the ship.

Cold Nibiru Bug[]

When Nibiru hits Earth, Nibiru's texture won't change to the heated texture.

Control Panel Bug[]

If there is something blocking the Seat or the Control Panel, you will be stuck. This can be easily fixed by sawing the control panel and re-attaching the control panel. The glitch will likely happen with the New Cockpit Bug.

Camera Flipping Bug[]

When you try to enter a weak SOI from a stronger one using a Jetpack, at the point where the SOI's cross, your camera will start flipping constanly and glitching out.

Camera Spinning Bug[]

If you are exactly at the center of a celestial body, south or north, the camera breaks out and starts spinning.

Disconnected Pipe Bug[]

If you freecam your pipes to connect them, they can get too long, and eventually disconnect and just gets cut off. Not to worry, the Resources will still get transferred to the input of the connected structure. This happens because of pipes having a size limit in 2048 studs which is the half of in-game Earth.

Dropping Junction Pipe Bug[]

When you drop a Junction pipe that you have unequipped, it will make your character stuck on location where it was dropped. You can temporarily free yourself from equipping another pipe, however to truly free yourself you will have to reset or explode the junction you were attached to. (Free yourself by equipping another pipe, get on the junction, and plant an Explosive Charge.)

Duplicated Junction Pipes Bug[]

If you click really fast on an input pipe in a Junction, it will duplicate in your inventory, similar to Red Matter Dupe Glitch.

Engine Bug[]

When you quickly throttle your engines on and off repeatedly, and then leave them off, the engines will sometimes act as if they are on. The only exceptions are fuel consumption and thrust. You can easily prevent this from happening by gently turning on and off the engines.

Freecamming Pipes[]

You can use the freecam to connect a pipe from one source to another. Find more about this glitch in Freecam page.

Fling Glitch 3.0[]

After the new Gravity Controller has been added to the game, sometimes you can experience where standing on rising structures that has been recently placed to fling you. This happens more frequently when placing a Spawn inside a Dome.

Float Bug[]

For unknown reasons sometimes at random your camera will freeze and you will experience frequent change in SOI from space to the current celestial body you are on causing you to rejoin. The bug was caused from a ROBLOX Update after the new update Release 21 Prerelease 4 changed the Gravity Controller from an old one to the current one used in Space Pioneers.

Glitched Controls Bug[]

If there is any passangers on your ship, the ship will start glitching out and having reversed and stronger controls. This is very annoying, as you won't be able to save stranded players without them having to reset.

GUI Overload Bug[]

When your camera is facing a lot of GUI's or SurfaceGUI's like on Factories, the GUI will disappear. This happens when you have a lot of GUI in the screen such as factories or other structures with text causing some GUI to disappear to not overload the client side with GUI, hence the name GUI Overload. This bug is derived from ROBLOX as it cannot be directly fixed without any rendering changes to the game.

Idle Animations Switch Bug[]

At some moment, your main Idle animation and your second Idle animation start changing constantly. This can be fixed by resetting, although it is not necessary.

Infinite Jetpack Fuel Glitch[]

When you spam the refuel button on the Jetpack with an auto clicker near a Refueler, you can get fuel higher than the limit of fuel, with no limit of its own. You can greatly increase your fuel with 2 jetpacks as well.

Infinite Night Vision Bug[]

This concludes the Night Vision Goggles, resetting your character while wearing the item, is a bad idea. Doing so will make you respawn as if you were still wearing the goggles even though you are not wearing them, and the only way to fix this is to rejoin the game.

Infinite Natural Gas Bug[]

If you do the Infinite Jetpack Fuel Glitch, its fuel may become a negative level. This is because the fuel inside the jetpack has been put back into the Refueler. This means that you can have millions and millions of liter inside a refueler, which can be filled into a ship, then the ship's fuel can be unloaded into a Depot.

Intro Screen Bug[]

When staying on the main menu upon joining the game whilst Earth is getting destroyed by Nibiru, the game will softlock you in the menu forcing you to rejoin the game.

Inventory Transfer Bug[]

Teleporting to Proxima Centauri with the Labyrinth method will often at times fail to save certain blueprints and tools like Drills and Pickaxes. (Please note that, this must be not confused with teleporting from a private server to prevent an unfair advantage)

Jupiter's Atmosphere Bug[]

In Mini-Update 20.3, a new feature has been added to Jupiter, where its bands move differently from each other and the planet itself rotates. With lower graphics and looking Jupiter away at an angle will reveal Jupiter under its atmosphere.

Junction Pipe Teleportation Glitch[]

If you place down a Junction and click on one of the input pipes then unequip the pipe, the pipe will stay. This allows you to teleport back to the junction immediately by equipping the pipe. You can also use this to noclip to get into the core of certain celestial bodies.

Moon Quote Bug[]

If Earth is destroyed and the Moon survives, its quote will sometimes not change, though the chances of this happening is extremely low.

Martian Moons Bug[]

This bug relates to the Martian moons, Deimos and Phobos, particularly their orbits. Deimos and Phobos can sometimes go into extremely low orbits with Mars, or going out of orbit completely. Sometimes, Deimos and Phobos collide with the surface without exploding or creating the large crater. The reason for the non-exploding is that both moons require player / ship contact in order to properly collide with Mars.

Mobile GUI Bug[]

The Mobile GUI that was supposed to be displayed on phones being displayed on PC when you are sitting on a Control Panel that is not attached to any part. If you have this bug, consider resetting, as it should fix the bug.

New Cockpit Bug[]

This issue is not as harsh as the other bug, and happens sometimes to specific users, where the Cockpit of the ship breaks, meaning no more oxygen for the seated, however this can be fixed with exiting the cockpit some times, and it will generate oxygen again.

Noclipping Bug[]

If you try to land on a planet or fly through a planet when it hasn't been fully generated, you will noclip through the planet. To get out of the planet's Internal Structure, you need to exit the planet before it fully generates. If you don't exit the planet before it fully generates, You will be stuck in the planet's Internal Structure forcing you to reset.

Noclipping Bug 2.0[]

If you're sitting on a flipped seat and jump out, you will noclip and fall down into the core of the planet.

Ocean Spawn[]

Once you first spawn in, you may or may not be trapped under the ocean. Your only option of escaping is to either reset many times, rejoin multiple times, or swim out of the ocean. Once you reset a few times, you will find out that you are anchored and tilted to the ground, if the mentioned is so, you have to rejoin.

Panel Push/Fling Bug[]

When you select a Panel and try to attach it, it will start to push/fling the ship a little bit. It can be very annoying. Same goes for the Window Panel and the Door Panel.

Proxima Cockpit Glitch[]

If you go to Proxima Centauri via a Warp Core, the ship's cockpit no longer supplies oxygen to the user in the passenger seats or control panel.

Red Matter Dupe Glitch[]

When clicking on a Red Matter very quickly, it will duplicate the red matter in your inventory. However the newly duped red matter is non-functional, you cannot use it to create a Warp Core using an Alien Processor or drop it. This can be bypassed by traveling to a different star system like Proxima Centauri to make them functional. Then you can repeat the process and get hundreds of red matter.

Refueler Overfill Bug[]

When clicking on your ship to refuel multiple times with a Refueler, it will use up more natural gas or money if used one from Earth to fill fuel in your ship. This is how you can also get negative money, doing so will prevent you from using dispensing parts from a Plot on Earth as they require you to have at least 0 cash.

Refueler Privacy Bug[]

When a Refueler is placed down and is supplied by gas, the refueler's privacy option does not matter at all. Because of this, both private and public refuelers can be used by anyone.

Refuel Jetpack Bug[]

If you have 2 Jetpacks and refuel them at the same time, Refuelers wouldn't refuel the second jetpack. This can be fixed by refueling the second jetpack twice.

Rover Dashboard Seat Glitch[]

When you stay seated in the Rover Dashboard, it will lock your character into the seat, similar to the Seat Walking Glitch. The only way to fix this bug is by resetting as you cannot even move the part or detach it from your character to set yourself free.

Selection Bug[]

When you try to select certain parts such as a panel, you can only select it by clicking on the metal top/bottom. Same goes for the Window Panel and the Door Panel.

Space Colony Creator Discombobulation[]

Similarly to the Mobile Factory Discombobulation bug, when sawing of the Space Colony Creator the main part will detach from the other parts.

Space Station Core Fling Bug[]

When you lock/anchor a spaceship with a Space Station Core and use a Junction Pipe to teleport, unlocking it might fling your spaceship.

Spinning Ship Bug[]

After exiting your ship, it might start rotating and could even fling you when you touch it. This usually happens to long ships.

Server Information Bug[]

This bug refers to the server information panels that are created once a fountain Spawn is placed down saying "ERROR," instead of displaying their information.

Team Selector Bug[]

When joining the game to choose a place to spawn, and then canceling via exiting the team selector menu, you will not be able to select a new spawn location again. The bug can only be fixed by rejoining the game.

Teleporting Rocket Glitch[]

Sometimes, when you attach a part to your ship, it has a chance to teleport. This means that if the ship is close enough to a structure, it could clip into the structure, most likely a Mill. Sometimes it can also teleport to unknown locations, forcing you to make a new ship.

Terraformer Dupe Glitch[]

If you place a Terraformer very fast on the ground with an autoclicker, it will cause the terraformer to duplicate it's efficiency. This makes terraforming planets like Mars with less than 10 terraformers in seconds.

Titan Fog Bug[]

After Release 21 Prerelease 1 The fog of Titan would break, causing it to be much less visible, making it easier to see what is going on in Titan.

Transphobe Claw Machine Softlock[]

When placing an Explosive Charge from far above the Trans Flag you will experience your character anchored as if the claw machine is trying to grab you, but in this case, it is out of reach and cannot throw you into the Sun. This leaves you permanently stuck above the ground forcing you to reset unless you manage to sit on a seat to get unstuck. The transphobe claw machine might also start bugging out and go crazy around Iapetus.

Umbriel Mars Rock Bug[]

Sometimes, instead of a ball lightning dropping from a explosive charge on Umbriel, it drops a Mars Rock.

Unavailable Systems[]

Sometimes, if you do an interstellar flight, you will teleport back into the Solar System.

Unlimited Depot Bug[]

If a Drone tries to transfer any type of resource into a maxed out depot, it will go higher than the limit.

Uncontrollable Panel Bug[]

Often at times, when dying while seated at a Control Panel or at complete random, you will not be able to sit again in a control panel upon respawning. This forces you to rejoin the server to fix the bug. This also includes the Rover Dashboard.

Fixed[]

Attached Turret Bug[]

If you produce a turret out of a Mill, it will somehow be attached to a mysterious object. The player will have to saw the turret first before attaching their turret to their ship. This bug was later fixed in Release 21 Prerelease 5.

Bluetooth Cockpit[]

Once you attach a Control Panel to a Cockpit, and then you detach the Cockpit from the Control Panel, whenever you sit in the Control Panel, you can travel through space without losing air.

Destroyed Earth Appearing Bug[]

Once Earth is destroyed, its far-away mesh is not destroyed or deleted.

Dupe Glitch[]

The Dupe glitch was a glitch that was active from the game's first release to November (exact date unknown). It could've been performed by selling to Eric and then immediately unequipping the rocks you were holding, and the game used to do a wait before selling so that Rock you were holding wouldn't be detected. Fixed November 2021, exact date unknown.

Earth Prison[]

This bug was appearing for for unknown reasons to certain players. From what was known, you would die when leaving Earth's SOI or would get anchored in space with your ship. The bug was later fixed in Patch 20.1.

Factory Bug[]

If the player rejoins the same server, they couldn't edit their factories.

Fling Glitch[]

The Fling Glitch became apparent once the old Seat Glitch had been patched. It causes ships to be shot away at high velocities when a player exits their seat. (Note: This won't affect much for the smaller ships but on big ships, it can be a disaster.) The bug was later fixed in Release 20.

Fuel Drum Bug[]

The fuel drum, upon being added in Mini-Update 20.3, had a bug when sawing the fuel drum off and reapplying it not only kept the fuel, but also added more fuel, not unlike the Bluetooth Fuel Glitch. This was patched in Mini-Update 20.11.

Infinite Fuel Tank Glitch[]

This glitch was done by attaching two fuselages onto your spaceship. If put together, saw off one fuselage and put the sawed one on the other fuselage, it had kept the fuel you had first. If you repeated this process, it caused to give you more and more fuel. This glitch did not work with propane tanks or two-cylinder fuselage. Additionally, you could repeatedly saw off and reattach fuel drums for the same effect. This glitch was patched in Mini-Update 20.11.

Infinite Air Bug[]

For unknown reasons, you didn't lose air while in space upon spawning.

Invisible Terrain Bug[]

The invisible terrain bug was caused by a ROBLOX rendering issue, in which terrain wouldn't load properly unless approached in very close distances. This bug was semi-fixed in Patch 20.7 by the addition of meshes that would appear in the place of a planet / moon when looked at from far away.

Jackhammer Bug[]

This bug occurred from the process of asteroid / comet mining from the 20.3 Mini-Update. When you attempted to use the Jackhammer on an asteroid or comet, the game lagged to an extreme amount because of overflow of effects. This would cause servers to time out, and there was no discernible way to stop the process. Joining a different server was the only way to fix this issue. If you were near the person mining the asteroid, or you are the person mining the asteroid, you would also experience your chat taking forever to send. Fixed in Patch 20.6.

Lagging Ship Bug[]

Once you start your ship, or when exiting the SOI of a celestial body, there is a possibility that your ship will begin constantly lagging, moving erratically, and will cause you to lose control of directional inputs and your ship. If you jump out the ship, then your ship and you will get flung into a direction forcing you to reset. The only way to fix this is equipping a jetpack, in where the ship will get teleported to where it lagged. To fix this, Use a Space Station Core, Which these items are only obtainable in late-game. If you are fast enough, you can jump off the rocket and quickly get back in. This makes this bug extremely annoying in early-game and mid-game, especially when going to colonize a planet, or going to sell valuable Rocks like a Shockstone. Other objects in other games can have this bug too if it is moving too fast. This mostly happens when leaving Alcaeus' SOI. Another way to fix this is to see if the air bar is going down after you leave a terraformed planet's atmosphere. Or if your cockpit is fully giving you are on a non-terraformable planet. This bug no longer exist as SSE2 now uses Space Pioneers' Gravity Controller since Release 21 Prerelease 4.

Mobile Factory Discombobulation[]

When sawing the Mobile Factory that can be spawned by using Station Mill, its main part would detach from rest of the parts. This bug was fixed in Patch 20.4.

Neutral Team[]

Staying on top of the Earth's spawn (or being on the Earth Team) while Nibiru destroys Earth will put you on Neutral Team, as the game won't recognize the Earth team. You will start spawning on the original Earth spawn and keep dying to Nibiru. At this point, the game will be unplayable for you. The bug was later fixed in the part of Release 21 Prerelease 4.

Nibiru Bug[]

This bug refers to when Nibiru stopped right before reaching The Moon and therefore didn't destroy it, nor did it crash into the Earth. Nobody was able to obtain the "Melancholia" Badge because Nibiru was broken. Some people didn't even terraform Mars because they knew Earth wasn't going to be destroyed. This was likely caused because all the planets got bigger and Nibiru used to stop moving after hitting Earth. Likely, Nibiru's code would "think" it hit Earth and thus it had to stop. In Release 17, this bug was fixed.

Nibiru SFX Bug[]

In Patch 19.1, when leaving Earth's SOI, it would play the sound effect of Nibiru destroying Earth. The bug was later fixed in Patch 20.1

Nibiru Speed Bug[]

In Patch 17.10, there was a bug for approximately 12 hours that caused Nibiru to impact earth 10 times faster than it would usually do in span of 4 minutes. This was because of Alphium not having the correct settings for the planet.

Place in Space Glitch[]

By giving somebody a blueprint of yours, when they place it, they will get placed at the exact position of your character. This could be used to colonize gas giants or stars because Space Colony Creator didn't exist back then. The bug was later indirectly patched by disallowing of players dropping blueprints with the Release 21 Prerelease 4. However, this bug still works in the Proxima Centauri System as players are allowed to drop blueprints there.

Plot Bug[]

In Patch 19.1, when owning a Plot, you would not be able to go in it again when exiting Earth's SOI. This meant you would have to jump inside or fly with your ship. The bug was thought to be fixed by Alphium in Release 20, but was later actually fixed in Patch 20.1

Resource Dupe Glitch[]

In Release 18 Prerelease 1, when a depot was connected to itself, it would dupe all Resources and you would get 10k metal if there was metal in the Depot. This glitch was patched in Release 18 Prerelease 2.

Seat Walking Glitch[]

This glitch / bug can be caused by clicking and popping out of the Passenger Seat several times. Please note that using auto-clicker will not work at high click speeds. When this glitch is executed, you will start walking upwards. You can also jump to accelerate even faster, and downwards. The seat will despawn shortly if it is not connected to a part, as there is no way to leave it other than to reset, sit on another seat, or saw the seat. This bug was exclusively fixed in Release 21 Prerelease 4.

Sell Glitch[]

The sell glitch was basically the same as the Dupe Glitch, but the way you did it was different. It is done by selling Eric any type of rock, then repeatedly clicking the sell button, either manually or using an auto-clicker. The most efficient way to do it was by using a lag-switch and an auto-clicker. Fixed Patch 15.1, March 16. Glitch was discovered somewhere between October-December 2021.

Shadow Bug[]

Any celestial bodies that have atmosphere may sometimes cause shadow everywhere on the surface, this bug is related to Roblox. Other planets / moons don't seem to have this bug without an atmosphere. The bug was later fixed in Release 20.

Skybox Bug[]

Before Release 21 Prerelease 4, there was a bug that if Ganymede, Titan, or Venus was terraformed, it would have no skybox.

Space Station Bug[]

Since the Space Station Core was added to the game, you couldn't orbit Jupiter or orbit near other large celestial bodies. With smaller celestial bodies like Alcaeus, you could orbit inside the moon. The reason why you couldn't orbit large celestial bodies is that the gravity is too strong and there is a point where the gravity no longer decreases the farther you get from the body. This "bug" was fixed later in Release 20, and now you can orbit when you're 2500 studs away from the center of the celestial body or when the gravity is weak enough.

Team Bug[]

When a planet is colonized (except the gas giants and the sun), The team of that planet disappears and reappears in a loop.

Terraformed Moon Glitch[]

If you terraform the Moon and it gets destroyed by Nibiru, the atmosphere and sky of the Moon still remain.

Title Screen Bug[]

As it says in the name itself you would be stuck in the title screen, and you would be able to see yourself stuck at spawn. This bug also affected certain players and not everybody like the Earth Prison bug. This was fixed in [Unknown, pending Date].

Two Seats Bug[]

Somehow, more than or equal to two people being in a ship prevented the ship from being steerable, it also flung the ship when exiting the seat. To prevent this the pilot needed to be last person to sit on the ship. The bug was later fixed in Release 20.

Venus Prison[]

In early versions of the game, glitches in the Influence Switch script caused players to fall back to the planet they died on. This most commonly occurred with Venus, hence the name.
