Planet

Planets are objects orbiting a star, distinguished from dwarf planets by the fact that they meet all three criteria for the IAU's definition of a planet. This means that it is directly orbiting the Sun (or a different star for exoplanets), is massive enough to have assumed a spherical shape, and has cleared its orbit of objects of sizes remotely comparable to it (thus solving the problem with the Centaurs and Trojans).
