All terraformable bodies colonized (except the Moon) in a previous version of the game.
Colonization is when a planet/moon has all the requirements for a spawn. All planets can be colonized, with most of them having their own unique team, save for some smaller moons.
Required Tools and Buildings[]
- Pickaxe (at least two are recommended if it's a body with higher amounts of common resources, three or more if it's one that does not have resources that can be found very commonly.)
- Mill supplied with resources and set to public (two are recommended).
- Factory (varies based on server population) supplied with resources and set to public.
- Spawn (must be placed within a dome if on a body that cannot or has not yet been terraformed.)
- Dome (it is recommended to have one regardless of terraforming status, as they have the ability to give air tanks.)
Recommended/Situational Tools and Buildings[]
- Jetpack if the body's gravity is weak, or for navigation of cave systems.
- Station Mill
- Refueler (two to three recommended)
- Macerator if the planet/moon has little metal and/or water.
- Depot/Junction Chains to help if the planet/moon has little metal and/or water.
- Drones are required in case the planet/moon has no water or no gas. Specifically, Venus lacks natural gas and water. Also, Io lacks water and gas. Drones are required to get water and gas.
Additionally, all of Saturn's moons except for Titan, Uranus's moons, and Neptune's moons have metal and water but lack gas, so drones are needed to supply gas on those bodies.
Notes on Colonization Challenges[]
- Some planets/moons lack essential resources:
- Mercury: lacks gas.
- Io: lacks water and gas.
- Ganymede: lacks gas.
- Colonizing these requires additional strategies such as drones for resource delivery.
- Medium gas can be found on Ganymede somewhere.
