The Computer is a type of part quite similar to the Control Panel in many ways. Obtained from a Mill for 500 Metal. It is mutually exclusive to a Control Panel and a Rover Dashboard.
Appearance[]
The Computer closely resembles a hard disk drive (HDD) without the platter, more than a modern computer. It has a large blue arrow on top which tells which way should be facing the front of the ship it is placed on.
Usage[]
Upon clicking, a GUI will appear similar to that of the control panel, though much larger. In this GUI, there are multiple functions that the Computer can perform:
- Transport Resources
- Follow
- Collect Excavations
- Collect Profits
- Go to Planet
The "Follow" option will make the Ship launch itself towards the player whenever they leave its vicinity.
The "Collect Excavations" option will make the Ship launch towards nearby Rocks and collect them in Crates.
The "Collect Profits" option will make the ship visit all of the player's Drills, collect the Metal from them, then switch to the Follow mode to return to the player. Require Crates to use.
The "Transport Resources" option allows you to move resources from one Depot to another using Depot ID. To get Depot ID, simply go to it and read the sign that says "Depot #[X]". Input X into the specified text box.
The "Go to Planet" option automatically makes the Ship go to an Astronomical Body. Earth is set as the default.
Computers are also key to creating drones.
Notes[]
- The Computer will not function if you don't give it a lot of fuel.
- The Computer is able to be used for taxi purposes, i.e using the "Go to Planet" command to get to your destination without putting in much effort.
- When the "Transport Resources" option is selected, the Ship will teleport to the destination when sufficiently far away from a player.
- The Computer can go to any Astronomical Body, which includes The Labyrinth, completely bypassing The Entity.
