Easter Eggs[]
There are many Easter Eggs in this game. Easter eggs may be found on moons, or even orbiting the Sun.
Location of the teapot compared to Mars and Earth
Russel's Teapot[]
Somewhere between Mars and Earth, there lies a teapot. The teapot gives a Badge, though it is very hard to obtain and few people have gotten it due to how small the teapot is.
SSE1 Ship[]
On Ganymede, there's a ship from Solar System Exploration 1. It is colored yellow, and has the classic model for rocket engines. Notably, it lacks anyseating, something required to fly in SSE1. This is intentional to prevent players from flying the ship
Monolith (Ganymede)[]
A monolith can be found on Ganymede. It has an outpost surrounding it and is guarded by armed Galileans. When the monolith is touched, the outpost will be destroyed and a stone pillar will emerge from the ground and shoot a beam of light. Following this shaft of light to its endpoint will spawn the Chrysalis.
Monolith (Titania)[]
Another monolith can be found on Titania, an Uranian moon. Unlike the monolith on Ganymede, this one is not guarded or surrounded by any structures. When touched, a yellow Entity will appear and say some dialog. Afterwards, the monolith will vanish and a beam of light will appear, pointing to the Labyrinth.
Monolith (Europa)[]
The third monolith can be found on Europa, a moon of Jupiter. The monolith has 2 sheets of paper on it, one with "Out of order" on it, and the second one with "Saffra wuz here". The monolith doesn't have any functions as of the time of writing.
Chrysalis (Ganymede)[]
"True power frightens us all"
The Chrysalis is a Blue forcefield Semi-sphere and is not made out of terrain. It orbits Jupiter near Io. Standing on the inner part of the Chrysalis will trigger the Entity's spawn sequence.
Log Cabin (Triton)[]
The Log Cabin is a... Log cabin on Triton. It can be found near the north pole of Triton. The Log Cabin was intended to be part of a "Santa Bossfight", but the idea was eventually scrapped.
Spirit Rover (Mars)[]
The Spirit Rover is a Rover that can be found on Mars. It consists of wedges and parts, and lacks any texturing.
Trans Flag (Iapetus)[]
A trans flag can be found on the northeast side of Iapetus. If someone attempts to detonate it using a Explosive Charge, a claw called the Transphobe Thrower will emerge from the ground and fling them into the Sun. If you are in a ship while this happens you will not be flung far. This only counts towards the Easter Eggs badge if you get thrown into the sun via placing an explosive near it.
Alien Skeleton (Mars)[]
A skeleton of a beetle-like alien can be found on Mars. When looking under the ground with your camera you can see that its "legs" are actually part of its jaws meaning that this is just a head.
Space Quote[]
There is a 1/100 chance that the quote for entering space is replaced by "I like space!"
Extras Menu[]
The Extras Menu is an Easter egg added in Mini Update 20.10. It is unlocked by touching the monolith on Europa. Currently the Extras menu has the following options:
- Classic SSE - This will teleport the player to Solar System Exploration 1.
- October 16 - This will teleport the player to the October 16, 2021 version of the game.
- Release 15.4 - This will teleport the player to Release 15.4 version of the game.
- Flat Earth - This will teleport the player to the April fools Update.
