Haumea is a dwarf planet added in Release 20.5 along with Makemake. Haumea is located between Pluto and Makemake.
Appearance[]
Interestingly, Haumea isn't shaped like any other celestial bodies, as it is an oval rather than a sphere. The cause of its oval shape is because of its rapid rotation, hence stretches the dwarf planet out. It also sports a set of rings, similar to Uranus. Its surface features are also similar to Callisto.
Colonization[]
Colonizing Haumea, like other celestial bodies of its kind, only has metal and water on it. Natural gas would have to be transported via drones or Depot/Junction Chains. Due to its irregular shape, there is more space to build near the center than the edges. It is best to colonize near the poles due to the gravity being the strongest there.
Trivia[]
- Haumea is the only Dwarf Planet and terrestrial body to have rings. (Except for Mars which needs to be manually formed)
- Haumea is one of the two in-game celestial bodies with a sphere of influence other being Proteus which both have an irregular shape in their unique properties.
- Because of Haumea's irregular shape, jumping on the edges would result into you floating into space while Jumping on some places of Haumea will result into you landing back.
