Humans are the protagonists and players of SSE2. Their homeworld, Earth, is at threat as Nibiru is on a collision course with the planet. In order to avoid this fate, the goal of the game is to escape to another planet and set up a spawn there before Earth is destroyed.
There are 2 planets in the game where humans are found besides players, that being Earth and Khnemu with 5/6 being on Earth, and the other one being Klein, which is on Khnemu.
Despite them being an interstellar species, they are the least advanced out of the bunch, and mostly resort to theft from other species such as Galileans for better gear then what they have made.

Locations[]
Earth[]
Humans on Earth can be found in 2 locations, that being North and South America.
There are 2 venders for each location and Romilly can be found in the research complex in South America, which will give you a quest to check out Callisto.
Khnemu[]
Klein is the only NPC who can be found on Khnemu, and outside the Solar System as a whole. He can be found in a shack left by the Galileans on the landmass near the center of the dayside.
Military[]
Nuke[]
The Nuke can be obtained by completing Romilly's quest, and can be detonated on Callisto thus angering the Galileans.
Turret[]
The Turret can be made in a Mill and is fired by pressing G when attached to your ship. The Galileans also have these as well, but their turrets destroy terrain while the human turrets don't.
Explosive Charge[]
The Explosive Charge can be obtained from a factory or bought in bulk from Earth vendors (Eric, Stoffschild). They destroy terrain the amount of which is based on the planet.
Endings[]
During all the endings most of the text is narrated in a third person perspective with past tense, it is likely that these are The Entities due to the word choices such as "They say to 'never put all your eggs in one basket'. Even when faced with the Nibiru cataclysm, the Humans don't seem to learn their lesson, opting to stay on Mars rather than keeping their grips on the Solar System. It didn't have to end this way. We would have loved to meet them." Though in some cases its said as if humans themselves have said it.
Trivia[]
- Humans are one of the only species to have achieved space travel, the other being the Galileans.
- Humans are the only advanced species where all NPCs can be talked to.
