Klein Rivera is an NPC found on Khnemu in the Proxima Centauri System, making him the only NPC found outside of the Solar System. Klein lives in a small hut which were likely made by the Galileans.
If the player interacts with Klein, he can prompt a quest in which the player must retrieve three organic Balls of Lightning from Thoth, and give to him. After the player retrieves the Balls of Lightning from Thoth, which can be achieved by killing Thoth Leeches, he will hand over an Untranslated Alien Processor.

- He is mentioned on Earth, in a missing poster in Romilly's office.
- Klein Rivera may or may not be a reference to the hit 2004 videogame Half-Life 2, where one of the characters is named Dr. Issac Kleiner.
