Solar System Exploration 2 Wiki

Miranda is one of the Uranian moons and the current smallest moon in the game along with Alcaeus, Enceladus, Mimas and Charon with a Sphere of Influence. Because Miranda's gravity is so low compared to the other moons, a Jetpack is required to traverse it on foot, as taking a misstep can result in being sucked into Uranus. Miranda rains Shockstones in a time interval of 30 seconds to 60 seconds, making it the best celestial body to get money from, even better than Alcaeus. It is best to collect Shockstones in your rocket to prevent falling into Uranus.

Appearance

Miranda's terrain consists of the same materials as the other Uranian Moons (except Oberon), but it has a ragged, spiky surface. Its pattern is similar to that of Titania.

Colonizing

Colonizing Miranda can be extremely difficult, not from the gravity, but from the size of the moon. Placing buildings on Miranda will quickly take up space, so it is advised to find a high metal spot (with water) before placing down a Drill, or any other building. Just like the other Uranian moons, there is no natural gas to be found here, Making Depot/Junction Chains or Drones needed to colonize this place, like many other moons and objects.

Trivia

  • There is an extremely small chance if you explode Miranda, it drops a crimson-colored Shockstone. It's the same stats as a normal Shockstone.
