The Prospecting Pickaxe is a tool and is very important for establishing Drills and Pumpjacks. Clicking on an area will tell you how high the concentration of Water, Metal, and Natural Gas are. The pickaxe can be manufactured from the Factory for 125 Metal or bought from Eric and Stoffschild for $150.
Functionality[]
When used, the pickaxe will display the concentration of resources directly below it. There are five different concentrations of resources, ranging from Very low to Very high for each resource. Between the two there is Low, Medium, and High. Very low means there are almost no resources in the area to place Drills or Pumpjacks, Very high means there is a high concentration of resources, making it easier to establish a base. Distributions aren't global over planets.
