Proteus is a small moon of Neptune. It was added in Release 21 Prerelease 5.
Appearance[]
Proteus is a small, orange, and bumpy moon mainly consisting of sandstone terrain. It is the only inhabitable moon to be not in hydrostatic equilibrium, and is one of the smallest celestial bodies in the game.
Colonization[]
Proteus is a difficult place to colonize, being distant from other sources of natural gas and having extremely low gravity. For gas delivery, Drones are perhaps the best option. Use jetpacks to maneuver through Proteus' gravity.
Trivia[]
- Proteus is tied as being the smallest object with a sphere of influence.
- Additionally, it is the only object that is not in hydrostatic equilibrium with a sphere of influence currently in the game. First being Puck, but later removed.
- Proteus has a core in the shape of a small white ball with the emotion :3 eating ice cream.
