Solar System Exploration 2 Wiki

Uranus is an ice giant that can be found on the side of the solar system opposite of Jupiter, and on the left of Saturn. It has five unique moons, and you'll die if you go into it like any other gas giants. It is colored a neon cyan and sports some rings that fade as they get closer to Uranus. The moons of Uranus are pretty small and lack natural gas, although they have their own features.

Moons[]

Puck (removed)[]

"Rather unremarkable, isn't it?"

Puck was a moon of Uranus. It could be based on and was only 58 studs in diameter. It could not be terraformed. It was removed in Release 14 due to Alphium wanting only moons that had reached Hydrostatic equilibrium to be in the game.

Miranda[]

"A world turned inside out"

Ball of jutting rocks, much smaller than the other Uranian moons. Spawns cyan Shockstones on its surface at a rate of 30-60 seconds. One of the best ways to get money in the game, the other being Alcaeus.

Ariel[]

"Entrapping the forsaken"

Dark gray ball of rock with an entrance. Ariel is hollow, containing an expansive stalactite/stalagmite cave. This area spawns Bled Elements, which can be used to lure the Bled Entity to Ariel.

Umbriel[]

"Dangerous if ingested"

Similar in appearance to Titania. Detonating an explosive on it will spawn Ball Lightnings, which can be inserted into an Alien Processor to produce a Drive engine.

Titania[]

"A monument to the forgotten"

A gray ball of rock. It has a monolith on it, which will summon a yellow Entity if touched. A beam of light will then guide the player to the Labyrinth, one of the two ways to get to Proxima Centauri.

Oberon[]

"Vestige of the unholy"

Oberon appears somewhat similar to Mars, being mostly orange in appearance. It houses the Bled Entity, which will attempt to consume any players that get too close.

Trivia[]

  • Uranus used to have the only non-spherical moon with a sphere of influence in the game. While this was later overshadowed by Haumea, it was the only object to have this unique feature from it's original addition to Release 14.
  • Before Release 19, you could jump between the moons of Uranus; they were lined up and relatively close to each other.
  • Uranus was not in the game's first release.
  • Uranus is technically an ice giant along with the similar planet Neptune, as it has heavy elements Jupiter and Saturn don't have.
  • All five moons of Uranus have a purpose.
