The warp core is a small ship part that allows travel to other star systems. Currently, the only other star system is the Proxima Centauri System.
2 more star systems are planned, which Is The T-Cygnus System & The Trappist-1 System.
Appearance[]
The warp core is a metal tube with what looks like Red Matter within it. There are several signs on the metal tube, which are a radiation symbol and a "this side up" label.
Obtainment[]
First, obtain the Alien Processor from Saffra's fetch quest, then you must find the randomly chosen dwarf planet or inner Saturnian moon that spawns Red Matter and excavate them using Explosives Charges. Finally, shove the Red Matter to the top of the Alien Processor and obtain the Warp Core.
Usage[]
You can use the Warp Core to travel into the Proxima Centauri System. You must first go 880 kph in order to open the warp menu which currently has 3 warp destinations. The only functional ones are Proxima Centauri and The Solar System.
Warning[]
- There is a chance of hitting the death plane when warping, it is advised to aim the Ship upwards to avoid this.
- Different star systems are their own servers, so when you travel to a different star system, you will leave the server you are currently in, destroying all of your buildings
- There is a chance that the game won't teleport you, leaving you and your Ship stranded in space until you either die or reset.
- If you use this in a private server your ship wont teleport.
